Arsinoi Ioannidou

She is a musicologist and music librarian. Born in Athens. Doctor of Music Studies at the City University of New York on the subject of Byzantine Musicology. She holds a M.A. from New York University on Historical Musicology, a MLS from St. John's University of New York and she is a graduate of Musicology from the Universidad de Oviedo, Spain. From 1998 to 2012 she worked at The New School University in New York City, where she first served as a cataloger and later as Assistant Director of the Sherman Library at Mannes College of Music. From 2012-2015 she became Assistant Director of Technical Services for The New School University and participated in the creation of the new Reserves Automation Service undertaking the production of metadata in the ARES software. As a member of the Greek RISM office, she catalogs musical sources and institutions in MUSCAT software and defends the interdisciplinary nature of the music librarian profession.
